Happy Monday! #TeamMCPSS is thankful for the crossing guards from local city and county law enforcement agencies, who did a terrific job during the first week of school. Please remember to slow down in school zones and stay alert on the roads as more drivers, pedestrians and buses are moving around during your morning and afternoon commutes. Mrs. Callen’s third-graders at Collier Elementary started the year with a lesson on teamwork and communication. They were challenged to “Save Fred,” a gummy worm stranded at sea. Using only two paper clips, they had to flip Fred’s boat (a cup) and secure his life preserver (a Life Saver). Every group worked hard, collaborated well, and successfully rescued Fred! #PerseverancePropelsProgress
