As part of an ongoing partnership, Evonik Corporation welcomed students from Hollinger's Island Elementary to its facility last week to learn all about pollinators. Instructors from the Environmental Studies Center shared lessons about honeybees, the role they play in our environment and their importance to agriculture and food production. Not only did their students showcase their skills in the VIP tent, but they also placed third in the Hersel Burger Competition and earned a $500 gift certificate.
