Four students from Barton Academy for Advanced World Studies were selected as winners in this year's State Superintendent Visual Art Exhibit Contest. Their artwork was judged against hundreds of works submitted from across the state, and they will be recognized at a special awards ceremony in Montgomery later this spring. Marley Conner and Zoe Parido took first place in the Grades 9-10 and 7-8 categories, respectively, for their charcoal drawings. Alise Zuniga-Sanchez won first place in Grades 5-6 for digital photography. And Ashton Almanza received honorable mention in grades 7-8 for digital photography.
