The Environmental Studies Center, 6101 Girby Road, is open this summer! Families are invited to explore the trails and exhibits to view native plants and wildlife. This summer, Aryn Williams of Baker High is gaining valuable real-world experience through the MCPSS Summer Internship Program, working with the Student Services Department at Central Office. From managing communications to working with computer systems and filing, Aryn is building essential workplace skills that will carry her toward future success. Murphy High senior Naima Dortch is in Sodwana Bay, South Africa, participating in the Youth International Cultural Awareness Program as part of Youth Diving With a Purpose. This group of students is working with NEWF, an organization that advocates for the protection of Africa's natural history and splendor through visual storytelling. Dortch, a member of Murphy's UA Early College, earned her rescue diver certification last month in Pelham before leaving for South Africa. #LearningLeading
