Mobile County Public Schools is celebrating another successful United Way of Southwest Alabama campaign after raising $76,588.93 during the 2025-2026 fundraising effort — an increase of more than $18,000 over last year and approximately 20 percent growth overall.
The campaign saw significant increases in participation across the district, including greater involvement from employees, demonstrating the generosity and community spirit that defines #TeamMCPSS.
Through their contributions, employees and students are helping support United Way of Southwest Alabama's efforts to assist neighbors facing financial hardship, medical challenges, housing insecurity, and other critical needs throughout the region.
"We are incredibly proud of the way #TeamMCPSS came together to support this important cause," said Superintendent Chresal D. Threadgill. " We greatly increased participation, including student participation… Well done everyone!”
During the June 16 principals meeting at Central Office, Mobile County Public Schools recognized schools and departments whose service, generosity, and leadership helped make this year's campaign a tremendous success.
