For the Summer of 2025, the Child Nutrition Program (CNP) of the Mobile County Public School System will continue to provide breakfast and lunch meals to all MCPSS students attending reading camps and Summer School in June and July at no charge through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). In order to receive USDA reimbursement, MCPSS must follow guidelines that require that records are kept of all meals served. All students will be issued an Identification badge that will be scanned at the point of sale; this will identify the students and the meals served.
The Community Eligibility Provision program does not require student meal applications. Therefore, all students attending these programs may receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge. The School System will receive reimbursement for a complete meal per student. If a student selects a partial meal, he/she will be required to pay for those items separately. Individual items may be purchased at the food prices approved by Mobile County Public School District’s Board of Education.
