* We are collecting Mardi Gras beads for an upcoming outreach event at a local special needs elementary school. If you have extra beads, please bring them to the front office.

If you are caught wondering the halls in the mornings or between classes which create tardies, you will be placed in reset for the remainder of the day. Make it a priority to be on time.
Parents, please help us with this by ensuring your student is on campus by 7:09.
Madi-Marie Grayson led the way with 22 points, while Mari-Margret Grayson added 23 points and reached a huge milestone, scoring her 2,000th career point as a Hurricane. What an amazing accomplishment and a testament to her hard work, dedication, and consistency throughout her career.
With the regular season championship, the Lady Hurricanes will now host the 7A Area Tournament, giving them home-court advantage as they continue their championship run. Congratulations to our players, coaches, and fans on an outstanding season so far. Let’s pack the gym and keep the momentum going! 💙🏀🌪️

Hurricanes, integrity is who you are when the spotlight is gone and the choice is yours alone. It’s telling the truth when it would be easier to stay quiet. It’s doing your own work, owning your mistakes, and standing up for what’s right—even when it’s uncomfortable.
Integrity builds trust.
Integrity builds respect.
Integrity builds leaders.
Today, challenge yourself to:
Make the right choice, even if no one would know.
Take responsibility when you mess up.
Treat others with honesty and fairness.
Be someone people can count on.
💭 “Character is doing the right thing when nobody’s looking.” — J.C. Watts
When you display integrity, you show real strength.
You show real character.
You show what it truly means to be a Hurricane. 🌪️💙

For those riding buses, you are welcome to wear beanie caps and extra layers at the bus stop (NO BLANKETS). However, everyone will need to be in full compliance of the uniform policy tomorrow once you step on campus.
This is a reminder that report cards were distributed during I&E today. Please take a moment to review your student’s report card with them and contact the appropriate teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Let’s close this chapter the right way and prepare to walk across that stage together. Cane Nation is proud of you—let’s get it done! 💙🩶

Wednesday Wisdom: Empathy
First Wednesday Wisdom of the Year
E – Empathy: We lead with compassion and never judge.
Hurricanes, as we begin a new year, we start with one of the most important values of the CANES Creed — empathy.
Empathy means choosing kindness, understanding others’ perspectives, and showing compassion even when it’s difficult.
Every person you pass in the hallway is carrying something you may not see. A kind word, a patient response, or a simple act of respect can make a powerful difference. When we lead with empathy, we create a school where everyone feels valued, supported, and safe.
💭 “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.”
This year, let’s commit to:
Treating others with respect, even when we disagree.
Supporting classmates who may be struggling.
Listening before judging.
Leading with kindness in our words and actions.
Empathy strengthens our community and defines who we are as Hurricanes.
Let’s set the tone for the year by lifting one another up and showing what true Hurricane character looks like.
N – Never Settle: We push beyond limits and strive for growth every day.
Happy Monday, Hurricanes!
A new week is a fresh opportunity to raise the standard. Never Settle means refusing to accept average when you know you’re capable of more. It’s about giving your best effort—even when no one is watching—and challenging yourself to improve every single day.
Growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones. It happens when you push through challenges, learn from mistakes, and keep striving for excellence. Small improvements add up, and consistency is what separates good from great.
💭 “Don’t limit your challenges—challenge your limits.” — Jerry Dunn
This week, challenge yourself to:
Give your best effort in every class.
Learn from setbacks instead of being discouraged.
Push yourself to grow academically and personally.
Finish strong, no matter how tough the week gets.
Hurricanes don’t settle for average.
We work harder. We aim higher. We keep pushing forward.

N – Never Settle: We push beyond limits and strive for growth every day.
Hurricanes, good enough is never enough when greatness is within reach.
To “Never Settle” means refusing to be satisfied with average. It means pushing yourself to go a little farther, learn a little more, and give a little extra—especially when it’s tough.
💭 “Don’t limit your challenges—challenge your limits.” — Jerry Dunn
This week, remember:
Greatness doesn’t happen by accident—it happens by effort.
Every challenge is a chance to grow.
Every mistake is a lesson in disguise.
Every day is an opportunity to be better than yesterday.
When you choose to Never Settle, you set the tone for success in everything you do—on the field, in the classroom, and in life.
So keep striving, keep learning, and keep moving forward.
Because Hurricanes don’t stop when they’re tired… they stop when they’re finished.

We want to reassure all parents and guardians that everyone is safe, and we have returned to a normal school day. Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our campus secure and prepared. 🌪️
A – Accountability: We take ownership of our actions and choices—on and off campus.
Happy Monday, Hurricanes!
This week, let’s focus on one of the most powerful habits of success — accountability.
Being accountable means taking responsibility for what you do, what you say, and how you respond.
It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being honest, dependable, and committed to doing what’s right.
💭 “Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to results.” — Bob Proctor
When we hold ourselves accountable, we:
Follow through on our goals and promises.
Admit mistakes and learn from them.
Support others by being reliable and trustworthy.
Set the standard for what it means to be a Hurricane.
Remember — leadership starts with ownership.
This week, show accountability in your actions, in your effort, and in the example you set for others.
Let’s make it a week where every Hurricane owns their choices and chases excellence.

C – Community: We stand together. We support, serve, and uplift one another.
Hurricanes, our greatest strength isn’t found in one person — it’s found in all of us working together.
When we look out for each other, lend a hand, and build each other up, we create a campus that feels like family.
Community means showing kindness, offering help without being asked, and celebrating each other’s successes.
It means standing beside your classmates, teammates, and teachers — because when one Hurricane succeeds, we all succeed.
💭 “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” — Helen Keller
This week, show your Hurricane pride by:
Encouraging a classmate who’s having a rough day.
Thanking a teacher or staff member for their hard work.
Including someone new in your group or conversation.
Finding a small way to make someone’s day better.
Together, we are stronger, kinder, and unstoppable.
Let’s continue to build a community that uplifts everyone and shows what being a Hurricane is all about.
