Senior parents, unfortunately no one turned in any extra tickets for our upcoming graduation ceremony. Therefore, we have no extra tickets for this event. Please be reminded that this number is set by the district and 15 is the highest number of tickets we have been allotted since covid. The event will be livestreamed through MCPSS website for those who can't make it.
14 days ago, Alma Bryant High School
Seniors, we did receive tickets yesterday and will be handing them out on Friday, May 1st, with Cap and Gowns. Each Senior will have the option for maximum of 15 tickets. However, we do ask that you only take the amount that you need so that we may have extras for those with larger families. These tickets are not to be sold for any cost or reason. This is a free event and if it is discovered that you are selling tickets you may lose your opportunity to walk. If you need more than 15 tickets, please call Ms. Hart at 251-824-3213 to add your name to the list and we will do our best to get those for you. Extra tickets cannot be guaranteed.

⚾️🌪️ BACK-TO-BACK AREA CHAMPIONS! 🌪️⚾️

The Alma Bryant Hurricanes Baseball team made history last night, claiming the 7A Area 1 Championship after winning 2 out of 3 against the MGM Vikings!

While Bryant baseball has a strong tradition of playoff appearances, this marks the first time in school history that the Hurricanes have gone back-to-back Area Champions—a true testament to the growth and consistency of this program.

This team has put in the work day in and day out. From early mornings to late nights, they’ve shown what it means to be committed, disciplined, and focused on a goal. Their toughness, chemistry, and belief in one another have been the driving force behind this historic run. Every player has embraced their role, and it shows every time they take the field.

Their success isn’t just about talent—it’s about effort, accountability, and a relentless mindset. This group continues to represent Bryant the right way, playing with pride and passion for their school and community.

Next up, the Hurricanes will host the first round of the playoffs at home against Dothan. Game dates and times will be announced soon—so get ready to pack the stands and support this team as they continue their journey!

Let’s make some noise for your BACK-TO-BACK AREA CHAMPION HURRICANES! 🔥⚾️🌪️

7A Area 1 Champs

Tomorrow, we will reward our students who have displayed the effort and consistency it takes to be successful in High School with a field day. Any student who earned this privilege will be allowed to be out of uniform tomorrow in APPROPRIATE school clothing. (nothing too revealing, no cowboy or steel toe boots, nothing with drug, weapons, or political statements will be allowed, and no pajamas of any sort) The event is being funded by the school, however, there will be food trucks and other additional activities that you can partake in if you want to bring extra money. Lunch will be served as normal for those that choose not to visit the food trucks. Students will go out with their grade levels for around an hour and a half. Other than that, students will be in class for a normal day of learning.

Seniors, on Wednesday you have a district mandated field trip to the MCPSS Career Fair. You have the option to dress out of uniform if you come professionally dressed. If you do not wear professional attire you must be in the proper school uniform- NO SENIOR SWEATS. Please review the attachment to get a true understanding what professional dress should look like for an event such as this.

🎉 Congratulations to Our Bayou La Batre Youth Council Students! 🎉
We are incredibly proud of our Alma Bryant High School students who recently participated in a real **Bayou La Batre City Council meeting! This outstanding group of student leaders stepped into the roles of local government officials and represented our school with professionalism, confidence, and pride.
👏 Youth Council Roles:
Mayor: Joreyan Dortch
Council Members:
Place 1: Jeremy Owens
Place 2: Abrahm Collier
Place 3: Cullen Billiot
Place 4: J.T. Esfeller
Place 5: Cooper Roberts
City Clerk: Jaslynn Byrne
City Attorney: Mia Cornelson
Municipal Judge: Justin Anderson
Court Magistrate: Victoria Tysyachuk
Chief of Police: Tucker Lewis
Fire Chief: Spencer McDonald
A special thank you to the leadership of Bayou La Batre for supporting this incredible, hands-on learning experience and for investing in the future of our students.
This opportunity allowed students to experience civic engagement firsthand, bringing government to life beyond the classroom. From discussing community issues to understanding how decisions are made, these students gained real-world insight into how local government operates.
Students in Mrs. Mott’s Government class played a key role in preparing for this experience. Through classroom elections, debates, and mock government activities, students learned the importance of leadership, responsibility, and public service. These lessons helped them step confidently into their roles and perform at such a high level during the council meeting.
Experiences like this are what make learning meaningful—connecting the classroom to the real world and helping shape the future leaders of our community.
They did an outstanding job and truly made Bryant proud! 💙🌪️
