This is an excellent opportunity to review how project-based learning supports authentic and meaningful learning opportunities for students. Reminder that ACAP testing resumes tomorrow with MATH DAY! 🥳 Please encourage students to get plenty of rest tonight, eat breakfast, and get to school on-time! Students will test until approximately 10:30 prior to moving to their regular schedule for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th period (homeroom). *9th grade will take a mock AP World History exam Tuesday morning while 6th-8th complete ACAP. We conclude ACAP on Wednesday morning with Science for 6th and 8th grades. Let's go, Barton Explorers!

Barton Students Achieve National Recognition: 🌟 *** Jayden Bonner, Oliver Clay, and Harper McCraw have been recognized as winners in the 2026 Distinguished Trailblazers in the Sciences Contest, sponsored by Michigan State University. Jayden and Oliver secured third place in the Middle School Category, while Harper achieved third place in the High School Category. The award letter praised their submissions for being highly rated by judges in terms of creativity, originality, quality, and impact of their message regarding STEM. This achievement comes with a monetary prize for each student and admission to Michigan State's Physics of Atomic Nuclei (PAN) program for Harper as a high school winner. The students developed their winning submissions during Mrs. Nicholson's STEM Explorer Elective on Wednesday afternoons. This accomplishment highlights the benefits and added opportunities provided through our Explorer Electives.
