Our Pre-K students enjoyed a fun and creative art lesson last week with Mrs. McNellage and our art students! They began by reading Sneezy the Snowman, then brought the story to life by creating their own artwork while practicing counting skills inspired by Sneezy. It was a great blend of literacy, creativity, and early math learning!

High fives and big smiles! 🖐️⚾ The MGM Baseball team brought the smiles to Wilmer Elementary for High Five Friday and had a great time cheering on our Future Vikings . Proud to be part of this amazing community!

He plans to study mechanical engineering at Auburn University.

Parents,
MCPSS has been monitoring the weather all weekend and has been in discussion with Mobile County emergency officials regarding the forecast for Monday. Based on the most recent updates, we will have school on Monday, January 26, on our normal schedule. Students are expected to wear their uniforms, but to stay warm, they will have the option of layering either under or over their uniforms.
We will continue to monitor the weather and the roads. We look forward to seeing each of our students tomorrow.
Chresal D. Threadgill
Superintendent

Mrs. Peoples-Williams’ Chemistry class is reviewing how to balance chemical equations—with a glow party twist! Students are hard at work reinforcing key concepts while having fun in a high-energy, glowing classroom atmosphere. 🧪✨

Mrs. Easterling’s Culinary 1 class in our Academy of Hospitality and Tourism class have been hard at work diving into ServSafe Chapter 7 – Flow of Food: Storage! Students practiced proper food labeling, prep dates, and use-by dates to ensure food safety and quality in a professional kitchen.
From understanding how to prevent cross-contamination to learning how to properly store and track food, these future chefs are building skills that will last a lifetime. Safety and organization are just as important as great flavor! 👩🍳👨🍳
So proud of our students for taking food safety seriously and applying real-world restaurant standards in the classroom!
