The Causey Super Tigers were ready to show off on April 18, 2025 at the Mobile Area Special Olympics. The team, led by Mrs. Katelyn McDonald, were looking fabulous in their new track uniforms. Some might say they were the "best dressed" team at the event. Our very own Addison Newman, 7th grade, was a torchbearer in the Olympic Torch Relay to start the games.
Before departing Causey Middle School for the event, the athletes walked through a tunnel of enthusiastic supporters, their faces beaming with pride and excitement. The sound of applause and chants echoed through the corridors, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Teachers and staff joined in, adding to the chorus of encouragement. The athletes felt a surge of motivation, knowing their entire school was behind them, cheering them on to victory.
The team showcased incredible determination, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. Their dedication and hard work were evident in every event, and they inspired everyone with their resilience and positive attitude. Regardless of the outcome, they demonstrated the true essence of the Special Olympics: courage, joy, and the power of inclusion.
Thanks to all the adults, staff, students, and team members that made this another reason to celebrate at Causey Middle School.
