We will have our first quarter honors ceremony on Monday, October 27, 2025. We would love for the parents to come out to celebrate the achievements these students have made. The doors will open at 8:30 am and we will begin promptly at 9:00 am. Students who are receiving an award may dress in their Sunday's best.

Gentle reminder! Tomorrow is Parenting Day for all parents and Donuts with Dr. P for 3rd grade parents only. You will learn pertinent information to continue to help your student succeed. You will also be able to sign up for a parent/teacher conference and pick up first quarter report cards.
We kindly ask that you do not go to your students classroom to help keep classroom interruptions to a minimum.
Please use the blacktop in front of the playground and the grassy field behind the playground for parking. We will see you tomorrow!!

We will have a Trunk or Treat on October 31, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. We would love for our parents to come out to support. Parents can secure a parking spot for $15 to decorate their trunk and allow students to trick or treat in the parking lot walking from trunk to trunk. Decorations must be age appropriate to PreK-5th grade students.

Good afternoon parents and guardians,
Due to consistent behavior issues that have been so severe it’s caused safety concerns for students, we are suspending Kona Ice, Jean Friday, and Tiger Tuesday for second quarter. We have implemented Capturing Kids’ Hearts, but it is evident that we need more time to focus on self-management without the distraction of extracurricular activities like Kona Ice, Jean Friday, and Tiger Tuesday.
Burroughs has the potential to be the very best. Overall student behavior and academics has not shown evidence of that. We need to remind our students who they are, #BurroughsBest, and your best. Please contact Dr. Patterson if you have questions or concerns. Thank you.
Gentle reminder! The Breast Cancer t-shirt order will end tomorrow, October 15, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. No orders will be accepted after that time to ensure shirts arrive at the school on time. Thank you for your cooperation!

Tiger Tuesday will also be tomorrow! Students may dress out of uniform. Clothing must be still be school appropriate.

Parents and guardians, please check your student's folder or backpack for the Flu vaccination permission form. If you would like your student to get the vaccine please complete and return the form by Monday, October 6, 2025. Thank you!!
We will begin shirt orders for our Breast Cancer shirts. The deadline to order a pink shirt will be October 15, 2025. Students can wear their shirts during our annual Breast Cancer walk. Order forms have been sent home with students.
