Food Assistance Resources for Families

Mobile County Public Schools is sharing information, in partnership with Feeding the Gulf Coast, to help families locate free food resources in their area.

Feeding the Gulf Coast operates food pantries, mobile food distributions, and child meal sites throughout Mobile County to ensure that no family goes without access to nutritious meals.

Today, we celebrate and honor the accomplishments of our seniors and recognize the educators that have made an impact in the lives of our students! Senior football players, presented their game jersey to these individuals that have inspired their journey.

Get ready to grab your trays and your passports — because it’s National School Lunch Week, and we’re taking our taste buds on a trip around the world! 🍴✈️
Each day this week, we’ll explore how different countries enjoy lunchtime — from Italy’s pasta-filled meals 🇮🇹, to Mexico’s flavorful favorites 🇲🇽, to China’s rice and noodle dishes 🇨🇳, and of course, our own American classics 🇺🇸right here at B.C. Rain!
Here’s the fun part — every time you eat lunch in the cafeteria, make sure to get your National School Lunch Week passport stamped by one of our amazing cafeteria chefs! 👩🏽‍🍳👨🏾‍🍳

Good evening B.C. Rain Parents, Homecoming Week is off to an incredible start! The Homecoming Candidates did a PHENOMENAL job during Campaign Day! A huge thank-you to all the parents who helped with setup and cleanup — we truly appreciate your continued support! Our Homecoming celebration will continue throughout the week: Tuesday: 90’s Day and Teacher vs. Student Basketball Game Wednesday: Spirit Day – wear Red and Gray; Pep Rally Thursday: Trail Ride – Western attire and Trail Ride Dance Friday: No School-Distant Learning– Homecoming Game @ 7:00 p.m.; Homecoming Court presented at halftime Saturday: Homecoming Dance Regarding the Homecoming Dance, it was originally booked at the Holiday Inn Downtown on September 2. However, when our sponsors went to pay the deposit, they were informed on Thursday, October 3, that the OWNER had scheduled a wedding for the same night and could no longer accommodate our event. The hotel offered the Sky Bar as an alternative, but it was not an appropriate or reasonable option — it is a bar, smaller in capacity, and the price adjustment did not reflect their mistake. Our sponsors immediately began searching for another suitable venue on short notice, but unfortunately, none were available within our budget and timeframe. Despite the Holiday Inn’s POOR business decision, we are determined to ensure our students still have an AMAZING Homecoming experience! The dance will now be held in the school cafeteria, which will be completely transformed into a Red-Carpet Event! We are confident our students will enjoy a beautiful and memorable evening. We will not allow ANYONE to rob OUR students of their Homecoming Celebration! Thank you again for your ongoing support and Raider pride! Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Tickets for the dance are currently on sale for $65. Tickets can be purchased in the front office until October 8, 2025. We hope to see all students there!

Wear all black or camo gear to show we’re on the prowl. Thursday: 
“Throw on your neon and construction gear…. the Raiders are BUILDING a victory while the Lions face demolition! Glow bright, show your pride, and get ready to tear down the Lions Friday night!”
Wear neon colors or construction gear. Friday:
“Fill the school and stands with RED! Wear a RED shirt with jeans or joggers to school and the game, and let’s show the Lions what Red Raider pride looks like!”

Why take the PSAT?
The PSAT acts as both a practice exam for the SAT for 9th and 10th grade students and the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program during your Junior year.
