The mission of the Division of Special Services is to promote opportunities for all students served under the mandates of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Gifted Education, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to achieve their maximum individuality by becoming productive participants in society. The Division of Special Services supports the efforts of parents, teachers, and school administrators to ensure a free and appropriate public education to all students.
Dr. Shelia Martin, Executive Director of Special Services, is responsible for the management of Special Education, Psychological Services, Section 504, Homebound/Hospital Services, and Gifted Education.
