Coach Donald

Today, we gathered as a Hurricane family to celebrate the incredible careers and lasting legacies of our retiring staff at our annual Retirement Luncheon. It was a day filled with gratitude, laughter, heartfelt memories, and well-deserved recognition.

A huge thank you to Mason Farms for grilling up delicious steaks for the occasion! A special shoutout to Master Sergeant Christian and Chief Bryant, who generously provided the steaks for the event — your support made this luncheon extra special!

Our amazing Café Staff went above and beyond to assist with serving, ensuring everything ran smoothly and our guests felt right at home.

Our Hospitality & Tourism program sweetened the celebration by preparing a variety of delicious desserts that everyone enjoyed!

We also took time to present our annual faculty awards, honoring some of the exceptional individuals who make Alma Bryant the best in Mobile County:

Coach Miller received the prestigious R.L. Watson Award for outstanding leadership and service.

Coach Donald was honored with the Marta Peak Award, recognizing his dedication to students and excellence in education.

Dr. Arrington was awarded the Doug Estle Award for his vision, professionalism, and years of leadership.

We celebrated the career of Dr. Arrington, our assistant principal, who is retiring after many years of dedicated service to Alma Bryant. His steady leadership, caring spirit, and commitment to students and staff have left an incredible mark on our school.

We also recognized Mr. Crenshaw, our welding instructor, who is retiring after years of shaping not only metal but also the lives of countless students. His passion for the trade and his students will be remembered for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so meaningful. It was a beautiful reminder of what it means to be part of the Hurricane family. Once a Hurricane, always a Hurricane!
