Congratulations to the 42 MCPSS seniors from Baker, B.C. Rain, Blount, Davidson, LeFlore, Mary G. Montgomery, Murphy, Theodore, and Williamson high schools who are among those who recently signed to begin careers with construction companies through the Academy of Craft Training program. Through ACT, these students have trained in a true, hands-on, simulated jobsite environment—gaining real-world skills in Commercial Construction, Electrical Construction, HVACR & Mechanical Systems, Industrial Metal Fabrication, and Interior & Exterior Finishes. They’ve learned to read blueprints, operate tools and equipment, wire and troubleshoot electrical systems, install and maintain HVAC units, weld and fabricate materials, and complete finishing work, all while following industry safety standards and OSHA protocols. This program equips students with the technical skills, certifications, and experience needed to step directly into high-demand careers with confidence. #LearningLeading #PerseverancePropelsProgress
