About Parental Involvement:
The purpose of the Parenting Program is to enhance and support family education services for thousands of families across Mobile County through workshops, parent trainings, conferences, communications and distribution of parent instructional materials.
One of the most important components of the Parental Involvement Program is the School-Parent Compact Commitment Form. It is a learning agreement that is developed annually by parents, teachers, administrators and students. All stakeholders must commit to being accountable for the academic success of all students.
The Mobile County Public School System's Parental Involvement component was organized to create a stronger link between the home and school. Parenting activities primarily focus on teaching parents how to help their children become more successful in school. Free materials, primarily in math and reading, are provided by the Parenting Office.
