Johnny Hatcher sworn in as new District 5 Commissioner

Johnny Hatcher was sworn in on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2022 as the District 5 representative on the Mobile County Board of School Commissioners. His district covers much of south and west Mobile County.

Hatcher is a Mobile County native and attended Griggs Elementary, Theodore (now Hankins) Middle School and Theodore High School. He and his wife, Natalie, have eight children, five of whom they adopted through the foster program. He also serves on the boards of the Bayou La Batre Housing Authority, the Solid Waste Disposal Authority of the County of Mobile, and the Theodore/Dawes Fire Department.
