TITLE PRIVATE SCHOOL TUTORS (2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR) - PART-TIME/CONTRACTED SERVICES
FEDERAL PROGRAMS
NOT TO EXCEED 19 HOURS PER WEEK

GENERAL INFORMATION This position reports to Federal Programs Non-Public Schools. It involves tutoring only Targeted Assistance individual students and/or Targeted Assistance small groups.
EVALUATION SUBJECTS: Reading /Mathematics K-8
DUTIES

The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences for Targeted Assistance individual and/or Targeted Assistance small group of students.
  • Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere for Targeted Assistance students.
  • Exhibits positive human relationship skills.
  • Evaluates the Title I educational program and /or Targeted Assistance student progress.
  • Communicates with parents/guardians and colleagues of Targeted Assisted students.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
  • Maintains high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about Targeted Assistance students.
  • Participates in in-service training programs as assigned.
  • Assumes any and all other responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director of Federal and Special Programs and her designated staff.
QUALIFICATIONS Must have an Appropriate Valid Alabama Teaching Certification.
SALARY RANGE $25.00 per hour (not to exceed 19 hours per week)
