All students who are planning to attend a school in the Mobile County Public School System
MUST pre-register online before June 1, 2015. 

Returning and new students will register for school at>
For Parents tab>Returning or New Student Registration

Mobile County Public School students MUST receive their password from the school

Online Pre-Registration is an effort to make registration efficient for parents.  
It's simple, easy and you can register your children from the comfort of your home
and at your convenience.  

Follow these simple steps:
>Go to on the web
>Click on the tab FOR PARENTS
>Choose one of the options:
  1. Returning Student Registration (in a RED format)
  2. New Student Registration (in a BLUE format)
>Complete all information online
>Follow directions provided
>Keep in contact with your child's school for additional information

New Student:  Any student who has NEVER been enrolled in MCPSS.
Returning Student:  A student who has attended school in MCPSS.
Pre-Registration:  The process of notifying the school your child
will attend for the 2015-16 school year.


Q.  Where do I go to Pre-Register
A.  The website select the tab
FOR PARENTS, then select the drop down 

Q.  What do I need to Pre-Register?
A.  A computer with internet access.  
Know your child's information such as birth date, social security number, and parent or legal guardian information.

Q.  Who can register a child?
A.   The parent or legal guardian

Q.  What if I have more than 1 child?
A.  The online Pre-Registration is designed for family use.  You may Pre-Register your Returning students at one time.  You may register all of your New students at one time.

Q.  What if my children go to different schools?
A.  You may pre-register all of your Returning or New students regardless of the school they attend.

Q.  What if I have children who have never
been to a MCPSS school before?

A.  You may Pre-register all New students at
the same time.  You will have to create your USER NAME

Q.  What if my address has changed?
A.  First, you will go to and
select the FOR PARENTS tab, then select 
street address and locate the school your
children are zoned to attend.  You must then Pre-register your child online for that school.  Then when you go to the school to complete the registration process, you will be asked to present 2 proofs of residence for that school district.

Q.  What documents do I need to pre-register?
A.  Basic information such as your address, your child's date of birth and social security number.

Q.  What if I need help completing the pre-registration process?
A.  Contact your child's school
Q.  Why do we have to register online?
A.  The MCPSS is advancing the use
of technology to assist our parents
in streamlining the registration process.

Q.  What if I do not have a computer
or do not know how to do the

A.  Call your child's school for assistance.
You may also visit any of the Mobile Public
Libraries to access a public computer.

Q.  Do I still need to show/provide
proofs of where I live?

A.   Only if your child is attending a
different school (example: advancing
to middle school, etc.), New to the MCPSS
or your Returning student has had an address change.

Q.  What if my child has applied for a
transfer to go to a school not in his/her assigned school zone?

A.  Register your child in the school
he/she is zoned for.  Once your child
has been approved to attend the
requested school, contact the
new school.

Q.  Why do I need to go the
school after I pre-register online for registration?

A.  During your child's school
registration, you may be given important information regarding your school.  For Example:  supply list, teacher names, class schedule, fees due, P.E. uniforms to purchase, and lockers if applicable.

Q.  Can I scan the documents at home and email them to my child's school?
A.  No.

Q.  If for any reason, while completing online registration my internet service is interrupted or I need to stop, will I lose all of my information?
A.  No, all you have to do is log back in with your USERNAME and PASSWORD.

Q.  How long does the pre-registration process take?
A.  Approximately 15-20 minutes for the first child and 5-10 minutes for each additional child.
