The Alma Bryant High School Chorus has published a cookbook of tried-and-true recipes from kitchens across south Mobile County. The cookbook, titled Cooking Up a Storm, goes on pre-sale today for $10.00. The cookbooks are being sold to raise money for a trip to Orlando, Florida.
Group members compiled and submitted some of their own favorite dishes to create this collection of more than 150 delicious recipes, including such delights as Pecan Pie Mini Muffins, Cheesy Rotel Chicken Spaghetti, and Creamy Hash Brown Casserole. According to Lynda Sims, Chorus teacher and sponsor, the group is publishing their cookbook with the assistance of G&R Publishing in Waverly, Iowa. "We had a great time putting this book together and hope other people find the recipes as useful as we have," says Lynda Sims and her Chorus members. "It's not only a great cookbook, but the funds raised will be greatly appreciated." For more information about the Bryant Chorus cookbook, contact Lynda Sims at 251/824-3213 or lsims@mcpss.com.
