The students at Brazier Elementary celebrated Black History month by reciting Oratoricals written by African-American poets. The children competed in each of their classrooms and two students were chosen as class winners. The winners then competed in the school competition, hosted by TV News anchor Kym Thurman. First, Second and Third places were awarded in divisions Pre-K - 2nd grades and 3rd - 5th grades. With a tie winning first place for the upper classes. Congratulations to these hard-working students. Please click on the name of the poems below to hear their award-winning oratoricals.
