The Baker High School JROTC Cadets have been invited to be the Alabama JROTC representatives in the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion in Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Normandy, France. Baker H.S.-JROTC was the number one choice of all other JROTC's in the state of Alabama, and they have accepted the invitation. This historic event will take place on June 6, 2014.
They will be parading throughout the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise following the same route the Allied troops marched after storming the beaches that day in 1944. Our proud cadets are very honored to be chosen to represent not only Alabama, but Mobile and Baker High School.

WOW, I was just there last spring. It was an exciting and educational trip. Made me think about all the soldiers that never came home and those that serve so proudly in our ARMED FORCES. The Museum, Veteran Cemetery, and the beach are breathtaking!
