Panther Pride 5K Run

Posted by Comm. Dept. in General  |  Comments (1)

For the last 12years, the Murphy High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) has hosted the annual Panther Pride 5K Run.  Last year, we had a great turn-out with over 330 runners and walkers completing the 3.1 mile stretch through the streets of Midtown Mobile. While the location of this year’s race has changed due to the tornado, the legendary MHS Panther Pride has not changed and will be present in full force!!!  The race will begin at Spanish Plaza near the Civic Center in Downtown Mobile and will follow the Guns-N-Hoses Course!

On Saturday, January 19, 2013, the PTSA will host the 13th Annual Panther Pride 5K Run. This will continue to be a family event for the entire Mobile community. Proceeds from this run will be used to supply our teachers' Wish List.  Due to the destruction sustained Christmas day, our teachers' needs have increased. With your help, we hope to contribute over $20,000. You can help by being a sponsor, runner or just making a donation. Together we can make a difference in this difficult time. Will you please help?

We sincerely hope you will continue your support of Murphy High School. This event is always a lot of fun and we want you to join in the celebration.  If you are interested in donating please contact

The best of luck with the event. I hope you break all records in funds raised. I'm sure all those who graduated from Murphy through the years will be helping during the restoration.
