Murphy JROTC Drill Teams place in double competitions

At Ocean Springs Mississippi the Murphy High JROTC senior team competed against 13 schools from Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.

The female drill team led by Tarial Malone and Starann Foster won 2^nd in armed platoon and 3^rd place in unarmed platoon regulation and exhibition drills, and 4th place in unarmed squad drill. The female color guard also placed 2^nd. The male drill team led by Tariq Alastal and Ellis Hale won 1st place in Armed regulation and exhibition, 2^nd place in unarmed regulation drill. The male color guard led by Tariq Alastal won 3^rd. Robert Williams won 1st place in individual drill. Murphy won 1^stplace overall.

At Gulf Breeze Flordia, sophomore and freshman teams competed against 14 other schools from Alabama and Florida. The male team led by Michael Millerwon 2nd place in the armed regulation and Thien Phan led the color Guard to a 4^th place finish. The team also won 4^th place overall in the armed category.
