Last spring, Collier Elementary School received the Wee Can Fight Obesity grant. As a result, the P.E. department was given $3,500.00 worth of wii equipment to use in their instruction. A third grade student, Lindsay Gentry, traveled to Birmingham, Alabama Sports Festival State Games. She competed against other third grade students from all over the state, and she placed third in the tennis competition. Collier was awarded a $100.00 check for her participation.
