The Mary G. Montgomery (MGM) JROTC program recently brought home a very special award. The group of students attended the Birmingham State Drill Meet on January 21, 2012. They competed against fourteen other school JROTC programs. The MGM Armed Exhibition group won first place, and the drill team has been invited to participate in the next Huntsville State Drill Meet on March 10, 2012. The following female students were a part of the state champion drill team: Kristin Webb (commander), Tori Findley, Cheyenne Bourg, Scarlet Holliman, Monica Bryars, Makayla McCall, Hayley Deaux, Rachel Strasburg, Kayla Clarkbanks, Kourtney Schmidt, Candace Lloyd, Tiffany Wilson, and Shelby Smith.
