Snow for AR Students!

Posted by Communications in Schools  |  Comments (2)

Snow fell on Dauphin Island School!  Actually, Skinner's Seafood, Inc. donated snow for a Wonderland Adventure.  Mrs. Diane Allgood, Dauphin Island principal, promised the students if they all met their Accelerated Reader (AR) Goal, they would have a snow ball adventure.  Well, this really seemed like a tall tale, for most of the students on Dauphin Island have never seen snow.  The promise motivated the readers.  The last week of school before the winter holidays, eleven students had not achieved their reading goal.  Each time a student met his/her goal, jingle bells would ring on the intercom.  On the last day of school, the last jingles were heard.
