Murphy's JROTC Girls Team Wins Again

Murphy High School's JROTC competed against twelve other schools from Alabama and Florida in the Hulburt Field Air Force Base drill meet during
November 2010 in Fort Walton Beach Florida. 
Female color guards led by Candace Valrie and Mya Matt won 1st and 3rd place respectively.   The inspection team lead by Marcella Griffin place second.  Drill teams led by Mya Matt and Candace Valrie won first place in unarmed exhibition and second place in unarmed regulation drills.  Murphy won first place overall.  This is the second year in a row the girls team have won 1st place in this meet.  Congratulations to participating members: Marcella Griffin, Mya Matt, Candace Valrie, Atiya Hall, Nathalie McCarty, Brianna Bryant, Emma Square, Cierra Campbell, Bobbie Clark, Lena Freeman, Kierra Moultrie, Jayne Stewart, Eboni Mighty, Dekayla Hale, Shantashia Lewis, Tiffany Robinson, Jeketa Harper, Kelsey Gill, Atira White, Emily Wright, Kourtney Antone, Tibitha Lamar and Breanna Caldwell.
