Congratulations to Baker JROTC for being selected a winner of the Fox 10 television "Chris Myers Extra Mile Award".  The selection is based on their contribution to the community and doing more than is normal or expected.  The group actively supports not only Baker, but also Hutchens and Williams Elementary in festivals, spring flings and field days; sponsors a special needs baseball team and provides assistance to the children during the games and practice; participates in Habitat for Humanity; in local charity runs, in a cleaning supply drive for Alabama Baptist Children's Home, contributes to the Bay Area Food Bank each year and performs color guards for the community.  The Baker JROTC program received a check for $500 which will be used for the Chris Mason Memorial JROTC Scholarship.
