Posted by Comm. Dept. in Schools  |  Comments (16)

Congratulations to Angela Howie, a fifth-grade teacher at Booth Elementary, David Lawrence, a language arts teacher at Causey Middle, and Emily Prine, a geometry teacher at Theodore High School.  Each were named The Mobile Area Education Foundation's (MAEF)
2010 Elementary, Middle and High School Outstanding Teachers!

Superintendent, Dr. Roy Nichols, and School Board President, Mr. Bill Meredith, were on hand with MAEF representatives to surprise each teacher at his/her school with the announcement.  The three selected were from Mobile county's  top teachers at each of the ninety public schools.

Congratulations on your honor!  I am retiring this year, but with teachers like you, I know the future is assured

Who knows?  Maybe you will last 39 years, too!

Sincerely,

Ed. Shelton

Mrs. Howie. You deserve this award. Thank you for your dedication and your belief that "all" children can learn. You made our job at Alba Middle so much easier. The students, that came to us from Booth, were ready, willing, and eager to attack the 6th grade curriculum. Keep chargin'   Manny Vital

I am so proud of Angela Howie!  She was in my classroom during her student teaching.  When I was training her, I knew she was going to make an awesome teacher.  She just had the gift.  Congratulations!
