Congratulations to the Causey Baseball team on winning their THIRD STRAIGHT COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP !!!   The Tigers entered the semifinals Friday facing Faith Academy.  Causey played a sloppy 1st inning allowing 4 runs on 5 errors.  It seemed like Faith was on their way to eliminating Causey from the tournament and ending their chance for a third straight title.  The Tigers regained their winning composure and starting the comeback by scoring their first run in the bottom of the 1st on Colin "Bulldog" Atchison's double followed by Nick "The Beast" Franzone's RBI double.  The Tiger's defense tightened up and only surrendered 1 more run to Faith.  The Tiger's offense continued to chip away at Faith's lead by adding another run in the bottom of the third on Tyler Atchison's solo home-run over the right center field fence, for a second homer of the year.  Causey added two more runs in the bottom of the 5th, with 2 outs, "Bulldog" Atchison's single followed by Franzone being hit by a pitch, before Jonathan "Pretty Boy" Markham laced a single into right field for a 2 run hit.  The Tigers entered the bottom of the 7th trailing Faith 5 to 4.  Pinch-hitter Branson "Back-Ache" Audette slapped a single into center field and advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Chase "King Causey" Poole.  Tyler Atchison followed with a single to left before  Nick "The Beast" Franzone delivered the game winning, two out double to center field to drive in Pinch-runner Daniel Bartson, and Atchison.  Tyler finished the game with 2 hits in four at bats, while Colin was 3 for 4, and Franzone was 2 for 3.  Chase Brunson was the winning pitcher for the Tigers allowing only 1 earned run on 6 hits and striking out 3.

  Causey advanced to the Championship game on Saturday, for the fourth time in the four year history of the baseball program !  Causey would have to travel to UMS.

  Tyler Atchison wasted no time getting Causey's offense started by lacing the 3rd pitch of the game into right field for lead-off single, followed by a stolen base.  Nick Franzone later doubled to drive Tyler in for Causey's first run.  Causey scored again in the top of the third, to take a 2 to 0 lead, as Chase Poole led off the inning with a double and advanced to 3rd on "Bulldog" Atchison's single.  Poole then scored on a double steal that he and "Bulldog" played perfectly !  Later in the inning Causey failed to capitalize with bases loaded and 1 out, as the next two batters struck out and grounded out to first to end the threat.  UMS scored 4 runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 4 to 2 lead over Causey.  The Tigers added another run in the top of the fifth inning, to cut UMS's lead to one, as Colin Atchison led off with a single on scored on as Nick Franzone and Branzone followed the singles.  Relief pitcher, Lukas "Country Boy" Young held UMS scoreless in the bottom of the 5th.  Causey entered the 6th inning trailing by 1.  Causey's first two batters struck out before Chase Poole doubled down the 3rd base line and scored on Tyler "Clutch" Atchison's single to right field that tied the game.  Colin Atchison followed with a walk before Nick Franzone delivered a double driving in Tyler for the go ahead run.  The Tiger's defense held UMS in the bottom of the 7th as "Country Boy" Young struck out the last batter to record the victory for Causey.  Tyler and colin Atchison and Chase Poole each had 2 hits, and Nick Franzone was 3 for 4, including his second straight game winning hit.  Lukas Young came in relief to record the victory for Causey.  The Tigers finished the season with 14-1 record and their third straight County Championship Title.
