Alma Bryant VICA Promotes Giving

Posted by Comm. Dept. in Schools  |  Comments (3)

The Alma Bryant High School Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) Club and faculty sponsor Mr. Arville Miller sponsored a Thanksgiving Food Drive Contest.  Over 2,000 non-perishable food items were collected schoolwide.  Mr. Martin Welch's 1st Block class won the contest by collecting over 1,200 of the food items.  These students won a trip to Bellingrath Gardens for their efforts and helped many families in the community have a better Thanksgiving.  The food items were taken to local churches and organizations who distributed the items in the community. Great Job Mr. Welch ! Good to see that we have teachers and students that care enough about the community to do a wonderful thing like this ! I'm sure many people had a better Thanksgiving because of this hard work. Keep up the great work !
