Literacy Night at Lee Intermediate

Posted by Comm. Dept. in Schools  |  Comments (3)

Lee Intermediate held their Annual Literacy Night, with the theme of the night placed on the different book genres. Television news reporter, Renee Dials was the guest reader.  The fifth graders acted out the fairy tale:  Bubba the Cowboy Prince. A fourth grade group presented a Reader's Theater:  The Legend of Slappy Hooper.  Third and fourth grade students entertained the audience with reading strategy songs.  A mix of students presented their Character Day presentations.  The program ended with the audience being invited to visit the Book Fair.

Congratulations, girls and boys, you were great. Of course my favorite was Aaron Maxwell.  Keep up the good work.
