Bryant High School's archery team wins 2013 Alabama NASP title

     The Alma Bryant High School Hurricane Archery Team won the 2013 Alabama National Archery in the Schools (NASP) Tournament title, held this year for the first time in Montgomery, for the 7th consecutive year! Bryant’s team score was a 3442, which established a new record total for Alabama high schools. Gilliard's Archery team stands 5th in the State

    Congratulations to the Gilliard Gator Archery team. They traveled to the Sportplex in Montgomery on Thursday, April 4th where they shot a combined team total of 3058 points!!!This is the highest score in Gilliard team history.They came in fifth overall in the state and qualified for the National Tournament in Louisville,Ky.The team had two shooters who also qualified as individuals to shoot at Nationals:Hunter Whitmore came in 4th place...

Semmes athlete invited to U.S. Soccer Federation Training Center

Congratulations to Semmes Middle School 8th grader Hannah Moody! She has received an invitation to attend the U.S. Soccer Federation Training Center in Atlanta for possible inclusion into the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team program. Hannah is currently a player on the varsity soccer team at Mary G. Montgomery High School.

Williamson wins 1st Annual BayBears tournament

  Williamson's Baseball Team Wins the First Annual BayBears Charities Inner City Tournament   Congratulations to the Williamson High School Baseball team for winning the first annual BayBears Charities Inner City Tournament at Hank Aaron Stadium in March. Former Blount Coach inducted into the AL High School Sports Hall of Fame

  Coach Harris’ remarkable football coaching career is highlighted by the amazing turnaround he had at Blount High School. When he arrived at Blount in 1988, the Leopards’ football program had lost more games the previous 10 seasons than any other Class 5A school in the state. Alba Middle places in state championship

Congratulations to the Alba Middle School Scholars Bowl team! They competed at the ASCA Alabama State Championship on Saturday February 23. They were among 32 teams invited to attend the tournament. The team won 4 out of 7 matches, defeating Clanton by a score of 315-155; Cullman 410-210; Donoho 250-150; and Monrovia 360-230. These wins placed Alba, the only school from the Mobile County Public School System, in the top 16 of the tournament. Joshua Williams was named to the 1st Team All Tournament...
