Teachers Attend Workshop to Make the Grade

Recently middle and high school assistant principals and teachers attended the annual Mobile County Public School System's (MCPSS) Making Middle Grades Work and High Schools That Work (MMGW-HSTW) workshop.  The sessions are reform initiatives designed for secondary schools.  MCPSS adopted the MMGW initiative over two years ago and the school system has seen increase student academic achievement in the middle schools setting. Round Up Support for the Environmental Studies Center

A little change can go a long way...During the month of August the Environmental Studies Center will be the designated charity for B & B Pet Stop's "Round-Up for Charity" program.  When you make a purchase at B & B Pet Stop in August, your cashier will ask you if you want to "Round-Up for Charity".  It will always be less than $1.00 since they're asking if you would round your sale up to the next dollar and donate the difference. So say "Yes"...

Murphy FCCLA Wins Bronze for Service Project

The Murphy High School Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), attended the National Leadership Conference of FCCLA, which was held in Nashville, TN on July 12-16-09.
