Each quarter at J.E. Turner Elementary, students are rewarded for Accelerated Reading goals met. In April, Turner held its 3rd quarter AR celebration. During their 3rd quarter celebration children were allowed to dress in their best cowboy/cowgirl attire and attend an AR "Roundup". Student artists in Mobile County will have the opportunity to make their mark when Mobile County celebrates its 200th Birthday. Congratulations to Bryant Career Tech Center and Mr. Tillman's Small Engine Repair Team. The team competed during spring break at the South District FFA Elimination in Opp, Alabama. The students, Dylan Davis, Andrew McClinton, Joshua Webster, Portlock Sowels did an outstanding job and finished first in a field of 41 teams. The team now qualifies for the State Championship in Auburn, Alabama June 7-10.

Austin Elementary School recently transformed into a multicultural land where students were introduced to the cultures and traditions of many countries around the world. Congratulations to the Alma Bryant J.V. Baseball Team for winning the 6A J.V. County Championship! The Hurricanes defeated Baker 9-3 in the championship game. This is the first J.V.
