HOW TO APPLY
ALSDE Online Application
Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS) uses the online employment application provided by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE). If you are not a current employee of MCPSS, click on the ALSDE Online Application tab above to begin the application process.
You will be asked to create a user name and password in order to create your application. The email address on your application will be the address MCPSS will use to communicate with you.
By completing this one application, you may apply for Certified, Classified, and/or Administrative positions. The “Applicant Type” that you select will determine which jobs you will be able to view. For example, if you select an “Applicant Type” of “Certified”, you will only be able to view and apply for Certified positions. Classified and Administrative vacancies will not appear unless you broaden your “Applicant Type” to include them. Each “Applicant Type” will require information pertaining to that classification.
Please review the details of our job advertisements. In order to be eligible for hire, you must attach your application to a specific advertisement.

Internal Employee Application
MCPSS uses an online application for internal employees who would like to apply for advertised vacancies. For information on this application process, please click on the Instructions for Internal Employee Application tab above. To proceed directly to the online login for internal applicants, click on the LOGIN for Internal Employee Application tab.
Reactivation of Teaching File
Former teachers of MCPSS and teacher applicants with expired Clearance Cards must reactivate their files in order to pursue employment opportunities. Please click the Reactivation of Teaching File tab above for more information.
A writing exercise is required for all Administrative applicants. Information on this exercise and the dates it will be administered can be found by clicking on the Administrative Writing tab above or by selecting “HR News” in the right column.
