Information Technology Services

As we await word from USAC on E-rate funding this year, we continue to make tremendous progress in equipping our classrooms with 21st Century Technology.  This has been no small task due to the serious budget constraints we have all felt in the past two years.  When funding is approved for this year we will be exactly 100% complete with the strategic infrastructure plan.

This summer our Technology Resource Teachers will train over 600 teachers to use SmartBoards, Document Cameras, Slates, and Senteo Units in their daily lesson plans.  This year also saw the completion of the Data Warehouse, updates in Digital Signage, and the installation of over 1000 Unified SmartBoards.

We are hard at work looking for sources to fund these projects and to date have received more than $5.2 million in grants and federal funding.  Our plan is focused on the students and will be equal among all the schools.  Technology always brings change and we must change with the times, but for now our focus is on getting ready for what the near future holds for us.
