Through its personnel policies, the Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS) endeavors to establish conditions that attract and hold the highest quality employees who are willing to devote themselves to the education and welfare of the students. The Board is committed to hiring and retaining employees who are capable, interested, and motivated to accomplish the desired goals of the school system. It is our desire that all employees of MCPSS find their employment personally and professionally rewarding. As such, our objective is to create a work environment that is conducive to these goals. This in turn will create an atmosphere of excellence in supporting our educational mission. We ask that all employees be dedicated to providing the very best educational experience for the students of Mobile County.

Transition To Teaching Drexel Grant
The Mobile County Public Schools in conjunction with our partners at Drexel University are proud recipients of two U.S. Department of Education Transition to Teaching grants. The grants became available in 2002 in response to a nation-wide shortage of math and science teachers. If you have a B.S. degree in math, science, or engineering, please view the testimonials of others like you who have non-education backgrounds and have made the transition to teaching in the Mobile County Public Schools.
